DIY Lemon & Orange Sugar Hand Scrub

I recently had a co-worker get me into making sugar hand scrubs and have made many that are stock piled currently under the bed, waiting for birthdays and holidays.  I have made peppermint and brown sugar vanilla so far and now tried out a lemon and orange mix.
To make a lemon sugar hand scrub:
You'll need:
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/3 cup almond oil
  • Lemon essential oil
  • Yellow food coloring
  • Jars
  1. Mix together sugar and almond oil and add a few drops of the lemon oil.  Start small so it's not over powering.  Add food coloring drops a few at a time till it is at the color you desire.
  2. Scoop into canning jar or jar of your choice.
  3. Display with a cute ribbon!

To make an orange sugar hand scrub:
You'll need:
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup grapeseed oil
  • Orange essential oil
  • Yellow & red food coloring
  • Jars
  1. Mix together sugars and grapeseed oil.
  2. Add a few drops of the orange oil. Start slow so it is not overpowering.
  3. Add food coloring with a 3 drops of yellow to 1 drop of red ratio until you get the color you desire.
I used a taller canning jar so that I could layer the two scents into one for a nice summer treat.
