Things I Won't Miss About North Carolina

There's a few things about North Carolina that haven't been on the top of my list.  The mosquitoes have found their love for me so that I lotion my legs with cortisone cream daily in the summer.  The other wildlife has been very interesting, but not something I will miss.  We've had banana spiders, snakes, turtles, endless frogs and geckos hanging out in our yard.

He doesn't look big but he was over a foot

A Trip Home to PA

While Eric has gone TDY to Quantico for the month, I had some leave scheduled to go home with a carload of stuff I don't want the movers to handle and I got to make the first trip with all 3 pets.  Surprisingly they are were on their best behavior and it was the best car ride with pets ever.  They must love each other.

While Eric's been away, we've gotten approved for a home in Maryland and now all of our PCS stuff is starting to happen.  Our new home will only be a quick 1.5 hours from home and a quick walk from the metro!

My future view :)

Now that we have a place settled, I'm ready to move, but I will definitely miss North Carolina.

Loving June

June is great.

The beaches aren't always full every day of the week yet...

Early summer storms roll in unexpectedly...

Goodbye North Carolina Spring

Spring is over here in North Carolina officially now that Memorial Day has gone and the tourists have all made their way back to Emerald Isle and Topsail.

Mia's first beach day
Snapping turtle in our yard, I won't miss this.

We are officially 90 days away from 31August, my detachment date from Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune and will start our travels north to Walter Reed National Medical Center.  We have a fun-filled summer planned as we try to squeeze in every bit of beach and see everything we had been planning on doing for 3 years in.
